Macedonia Archives-Enslaved Greeks of Skopje

Dr. Michalis Chrysanthopoulos with his book Fakelos Makedonia-Ipodouloi Ellines ton Skopion (Macedonia Archives-Enslaved Greeks of Skopje) presents facts, that despite the regime in Skopje trying to deny the existence of Greeks in their own state, the fact remains that such Greeks do exist. Unfortunately they suffer from much discrimination and human rights abuses by a regime that has developed and has been spawned from the brutality of its previous totalitarian regime.

Greeks and Slavophone Greeks, Vlachs and Sarakatsans, through their testimonies unfold the situation of the Greek community in the province of Pelagonia in the southern part of the country. Dr. Chrysanthopoulos through his pen lists declarations of how the Greeks of FYROM are treated by the government there and by the official Greek government, which does not recognize them as Greeks.
Even though the Greek communities of Monastery, Megarovo, Krushevo, Geugelija, Achrida and Stromnitsa have been 'slavicised,' members of their minorities still exist and they testify about the Greek presence in the area that cannot be erased from history.
